I studied Sociology and International Development at the University of Vienna. Furthermore I completed the Master 'European Studies, EU Project Management' at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland in 2011.

From 2007 to 2010 I worked at the International Office of the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

Since June 2010 I am part of the team of the Center for Doctoral Studies which belongs to the Central Unit Research Services and Career Development at the University of Vienna.

Many universities face high dropout rates in doctoral education. Often the reasons are not evident and it is thus difficult to decide which measures to implement to reduce these rates. Many universities have recently started to conduct surveys on the well-being and satisfaction levels of PhD candidates to get to know more about the study and research experiences of these young researchers.
